Otter-dogs 89: Has that always?

The thing between them is meant to be some sort of simple otter-dog furniture. A chair or a table.

For awhile I planned to draw cat.

A discarded punchline was, “What is it?”

The answer to this question is, “I don’t really know.” And this, from un untethered metaphor perspective, is unnerving. An unbound metaphor is a dangerous thing.

The other thing that’s unsettling about this comic, for me, is that it seems to imply that the comic is from the point of view of the otter-dog with the collar. Why else would the thing between them have remained out of frame?

I don’t want anything to come between them.
